They won't tolerate any more snack theft....

A KitKat truck was spotted with 'presidential-level security' in Canada as four black SUVs can be seen surrounding it
was no time for having a break when it came time for this KitKat truck to hit the streets of Toronto, with four black SUVS in tow.

Flanked by a security escort, it was fair to say this truck had ‘presidential-level security’.

This comes after the recent heist, which rocked the snack world.

But showing that the company has a sense of humor about itself, the company’s Canadian branch has pulled out all the stops for one memorable marketing stunt.

KitKat Canada went big with this security detail

It was the chocolate heist story that made headlines around the world.

When a truckload of more than 410,000 special edition Formula 1 chocolate bars went missing, it sounded like a headline from The Onion.

This delivery of car-shaped chocolate vanished as it traveled along a highway outside the Italian city of Turin, like some weird candy version of The Italian Job.

There were 12 tons of chocolate onboard, which is roughly 413,793 bars.

It represented a logistical nightmare for  Nestlé, as KitKat had become the official F1 chocolate bar.

While the case remains unresolved at the time of writing, KitKat Canada has decided to have fun with the whole incident.

Over in Toronto, a truck was seen being flanked by a security escort made up of four black SUVs.

It’s obviously very tongue-in-cheek and will likely play well on a PR level.

Users on X certainly saw the humor in the situation.

“They really turned it into a GTA 5 mission,” another wrote.

“A chocolate heist movie in the making! A convoy with presidential-level security? Four black SUVs, red flags… it’s basically the Secret Service… but for candy,” a third said.

We usually see this level of security with politicians

When you think of high-level security, you’ll inevitably think of the US President, who is driven around in a car aptly named ‘The Beast’.

The slick-looking black limo comes with an incredible array of security and safety features, from night-vision cameras to tear gas cannons – and a whole lot more.

In a similar vein, this T5 Transporter was used for the  Russian presidential protective service during Dmitry Medvedev’s tenure between 2008 and 2012.

Even the Pope takes all the necessary security precautions when it comes to his Pope Mobile, including anti-drone protections.
