This casserole offers a tasty and simple way to recreate the classic Maid-Rite slider flavor at home. It’s a filling and satisfying dish that works great for a quick weeknight dinner or a casual get-together. The recipe blends juicy ground beef, savory seasonings, and melted cheese all nestled inside soft slider buns.

Ingredients:

IngredientAmount
Ground beef1 1/2 pounds
Small onion, finely chopped1
Salt1/2 teaspoon
Black pepper1/4 teaspoon
Worcestershire sauce1 tablespoon
Beef broth1/2 cup
Slider buns (12 count)1 package
Shredded cheddar cheese1 1/2 cups
Melted butter1/4 cup
Sesame seeds1 tablespoon

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook Beef & Onion: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and finely chopped onion until the beef is browned and the onions are soft.
  3. Season & Simmer: Add salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce to the skillet. Pour in the beef broth and let it simmer for about 5 minutes, or until most of the liquid has evaporated.
  4. Prepare Buns: Carefully slice the slider buns in half horizontally, keeping the top and bottom pieces intact.
  5. Assemble the Casserole:
    • Arrange the bottom halves of the slider buns evenly in a 9×13-inch baking dish.
    • Spread the cooked beef mixture evenly over the bun bottoms.
    • Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top of the beef.
    • Place the top halves of the slider buns over the cheese layer.
  6. Top & Bake:
    • Brush the melted butter evenly over the tops of the buns.
    • Sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
    • Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes.
    • Remove the foil and continue baking for another 10 minutes, or until the buns are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  7. Serve: Allow the casserole to cool for a few minutes before slicing into individual sliders and serving.
