 BREAKING: OOF. Melania's ex-right-hand woman publicly busts Trump's excuse that he was "blindsided" by her Epstein denials!

Last night, Donald Trump told reporters he “was completely blindsided” by his wife’s surprise press statement attempting to distance herself from the sordid orbit of Jeffrey Epstein.

Melania’s former chief of staff Stephanie Grisham isn’t buying it for a second, calling "BS" on the whole stunt. The former confidant says the first lady is far too strategic to drop a bombshell like that without telling her husband.

“I'I call BS on our president saying he knew nothing about it, because at the very least, I imagine she would have given him a heads up,” Grisham told CNN. “[Melania] thinks about everything she does and she thinks about it for a very long time … She chose this time very specifically.”

On Thursday, Madame Trump stunned the press corps by delivering an unprompted White House statement denying any real relationship with Jeffrey Epstein or Ghislaine Maxwell, claiming she was never on the “Lolita Express” and that her gushing “Love, Melania” email to Maxwell was just “casual correspondence.”

The timing was extraordinary, since Trump’s ignominious retreat from his disastrous Iran war had been locked from and center on the headlines.

While the move might serve to displace the journalistic post-mortem on Trump’s military and diplomatic debacle, it also revives a subject he has been trying to obfuscate his whole term.

Either way, it was a risky maneuver. Melania maintains she and Trump sometimes crossed paths with Epstein due to “overlapping social circles,” yet now insists she barely knew him despite the overwhelming evidence to the contrary.

The whole thing reeks of crazed damage control as more Epstein files and recordings continue to surface showing deeper ties than the Trumps wants to admit. The fact is, Melania is as big a narcissist as Trump, and she was thinking only about herself when she brought up the subject of Epstein on her own.

We can imagine Melania flatly informing Trump she was making this, and the man who fancies himself the most powerful of all, could do nothing about it.
