This soft and beautiful marble cake is one of those classic recipes that always turns out well. It’s simple to make, perfectly fluffy, and combines the delicious flavors of vanilla and chocolate in every slice. Ideal for breakfast, snack time, or dessert.
Ingredients
3 eggs
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup oil
1 cup milk
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a cake pan, ideally 22 to 24 cm.
In a bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar until the mixture becomes light and fluffy.
Add the oil, milk, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
Sift in the flour and baking powder, then stir until you get a smooth batter with no lumps.
Divide the batter evenly into two bowls. Add the cocoa powder to one half and mix until fully combined.
Pour the batters into the prepared pan, alternating between vanilla and chocolate layers.
Use a toothpick or knife to gently swirl the batters in a spiral motion to create the marbled effect.
Bake for 35 to 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Let the cake cool before removing it from the pan.
Tips for the Perfect Marble Cake
Don’t overmix when swirling, so the colors stay distinct.
Use unsweetened cocoa powder for a deeper chocolate flavor and better contrast.
Add chocolate chips if you want to make it even more indulgent.
