Healthy Banana Brownie Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 ripe bananas
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup oats
- 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
Optional for extra flavor
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon chocolate chips
How to Make It
1. Mash the bananas
Peel the bananas and place them in a mixing bowl. Mash them with a fork until smooth.
2. Add the egg
Crack in the egg and stir well until fully combined with the banana mixture.
3. Mix in the oats
Add the oats and stir until the batter starts to thicken.
4. Add the cocoa powder
Sprinkle in the cocoa powder and mix until the color is even throughout.
5. Sweeten the batter
Pour in the honey and stir again to combine.
6. Add the baking powder
Mix in the baking powder until everything is well incorporated.
7. Optional flavor boost
If desired, add vanilla extract and chocolate chips for a richer taste.
8. Transfer to the pan
Pour the batter into a small greased baking pan.
9. Bake
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 20 minutes.
10. Cool before slicing
Let it cool for a few minutes before cutting so it sets nicely.
