This is the most delicious cake for me — it's simple, quick to make, and made with ingredients you always have at home.
It has a fluffy crust, a smooth chocolate cream, and a texture that simply melts in your mouth.
Perfect for the weekend, for guests, or when you want something sweet without too much effort.
INGREDIENTS REQUIRED
For the countertop:
2 eggs
1 pinch of salt
8 g vanilla sugar
100g sugar
60 ml oil
70 ml milk
160 g flour
7 g baking powder
In addition:
chocolate flakes / chocolate chips
almond flakes and/or chopped hazelnuts
For the cream:
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon cocoa powder
1 tablespoon starch (or corn flour)
250ml milk
60 g dark chocolate
1 teaspoon butter
STEP-BY-STEP PREPARATION METHOD
Preparing the countertop
In a bowl, beat the eggs with a whisk together with the salt, vanilla sugar and regular sugar.
Add the oil and milk, then fold in the sifted flour mixed with the baking powder.
Mix well until you get a smooth mixture.

Pour the mixture into a greased and floured baking pan (approx. 18×27 cm
). Sprinkle the almond/hazelnut flakes and chocolate chips on top .
Bake the cake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 30 minutes , until golden brown.
Preparing the chocolate cream
In a saucepan, mix the sugar, cocoa and cornstarch. Gradually pour in the milk, stirring constantly.
Place over low heat and simmer until thickened.
Remove from heat, add the dark chocolate and butter, stirring until completely melted.
Leave the cream to cool.
Assembling the cake
Once the cake has cooled completely, cut it horizontally into two layers .
Spread the first layer with the chocolate cream, then place the second layer on top.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar for decoration.
USEFUL TIPS
If you want a more intense taste, add a little rum essence to the cream.
For a fasting variant, you can use plant-based milk and lactose-free chocolate .
Store in the refrigerator for 2–3 days, covered with cling film.
