🛒 Ingredients

- Mix well and set aside to soak slightly while preparing the batter.
3️⃣ Cream Butter & Sugar
- Beat butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
4️⃣ Add Eggs
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
5️⃣ Combine Dry Ingredients
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
6️⃣ Combine Wet & Dry
- Add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture alternately with the milk, beginning and ending with flour.
- Mix just until combined — do not overmix.
7️⃣ Add Flavoring
- Stir in vanilla extract and almond extract (if using).
8️⃣ Fold in Fruit
- Toss the fruit mixture with 1 tablespoon flour (this prevents sinking).
- Gently fold into the batter.
9️⃣ Bake
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and level the top.
