In this article, we’ll walk you through the steps to create these mouthwatering chicken tenders from scratch.

With simple ingredients and easy-to-follow instructions, you’ll be able to whip up a batch of these delicious tenders in no time.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb chicken tenders
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for a little heat)
  • 8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Chicken: Start by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.
  2. Pat the chicken tenders dry with paper towels to remove any excess moisture. This will help the seasoning stick better.
  3. Season the Chicken: In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using). Rub the brown sugar mixture all over the chicken tenders, ensuring each piece is well-coated.
  4. Cook the Bacon: If you haven’t already cooked the bacon, do so by frying it in a skillet over medium heat until it’s crispy. Once cooked, transfer the bacon to a paper towel-lined plate to drain, then crumble it into small pieces.
  5. Sear the Chicken: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and butter over medium-high heat until the butter is melted and bubbling. Add the chicken tenders to the skillet, cooking them in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding the pan. Sear the chicken on each side for about 2-3 minutes, or until they develop a golden-brown crust. The chicken doesn’t need to be fully cooked at this stage, as it will finish cooking in the oven.
  6. Bake the Chicken: Once the chicken tenders are seared, transfer them to the prepared baking sheet. Sprinkle the crumbled bacon evenly over the top of the chicken tenders. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  7. Serve and Enjoy: Remove the chicken tenders from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes before serving. The brown sugar will have caramelized, creating a sweet and sticky glaze on the chicken. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley if desired. Serve these brown sugar chicken tenders with your favorite dipping sauces, such as ranch, honey mustard, or barbecue sauce. They’re also great with a side of mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a fresh salad.

Conclusion:

Brown sugar chicken tenders offer a delightful twist on a classic dish, combining the sweet, caramelized flavors of brown sugar with the savory, smoky taste of bacon.

The result is a dish that’s rich, flavorful, and utterly satisfying. Whether you’re serving them as a main course or an appetizer, these chicken tenders are sure to impress your family and friends.

The recipe is easy to follow and uses ingredients that you likely already have in your pantry.

The combination of spices adds depth to the flavor, while the brown sugar and bacon create a unique and delicious coating that elevates the dish to a whole new level.

Ingredients:

For the Gratin Cups:

  • 4 medium-sized russet potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced (use a mandoline for even slices)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or Gruyère, for a more refined flavor)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves (or 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Optional Add-Ins:

  • 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled bacon or pancetta
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onions or shallots
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg, for a subtle warm flavor

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Muffin Tin: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 12-cup muffin tin generously with melted butter or non-stick spray.
  2. Prepare the Potatoes: In a large mixing bowl, toss the thinly sliced potatoes with the minced garlic, thyme, salt, and pepper. Make sure the slices are evenly coated with the seasonings.
  3. Assemble the Gratin Cups: In each muffin cup, layer 4-5 slices of seasoned potato. After each layer, sprinkle a small amount of grated Parmesan and cheddar cheese. Repeat the layering process until the muffin cups are almost full, finishing with a generous layer of cheese on top.
  4. Add the Cream: Pour about 1 tablespoon of heavy cream over each stack of potatoes in the muffin tin. The cream will soak into the potatoes as they bake, making them tender and flavorful.
  5. Bake the Gratin Cups: Cover the muffin tin with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, remove the foil and continue baking for another 15-20 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and bubbly, and a knife inserted into the center of a cup comes out easily.
  6. Serve: Once done, let the gratin cups cool in the muffin tin for a few minutes before removing them. Use a small spatula or butter knife to gently lift each cup out. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve immediately. These gratin cups pair wonderfully with roast chicken, steak, or any main course.

Tips and Variations:

  • Different Cheeses: Experiment with different cheeses like Fontina, Gouda, or blue cheese for unique flavor combinations.
  • Herb Infusion: Add fresh rosemary or sage along with the thyme for a more aromatic dish.
  • Vegetable Layering: Incorporate thin slices of sweet potato, zucchini, or turnips between the potato layers for added flavor and nutrition.
  • Creamy Sauce Alternative: Replace the heavy cream with a bĂ©chamel sauce for a richer, more velvety texture.

Conclusion

Cheesy Potato Gratin Cups are an elegant and flavorful side dish that brings the comfort of classic potato gratin into a perfectly portioned cup.

These savory, cheesy, and creamy bites are not only easy to make but also versatile enough to pair with a variety of main courses.

This pasta and bean soup is satisfying, filling, and nutritious. What more could someone ask for from a soup? Oh, taste! Believe me, the possible ingredient combinations offer endless flavor possibilities. You’ll be surprised at how simple this is to make, all in one pot. This allows you to spend more time with your family and less time cleaning.

What is Pasta Fagioli?

"Pasta e fagioli" means "pasta and beans" in English. It may not sound exciting, but this stew is really delicious! Delicious Italian spices and a flavorful broth made with tomatoes and chicken turn pasta and beans into a meal that is so tasty you'll want to have more than one serving.

  • 2 pieces of celery, cut into small pieces
  • 1 onion, cut into small pieces

  • 3 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoons of dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon of Italian herbs
  • 1/4 teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes
  • 8 ounces of tomato sauce
  • 14 and a half ounces of chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup of uncooked pasta made with spinach

Instructions:

  1. In a large pot or deep pan, warm the olive oil and add the celery and onions.
  2. Cook until the onions are translucent.
  3. Add the spices and cook for 5 minutes.
  4. Add the tomato sauce, chicken broth, and tomatoes to the pot and simmer over low heat for 15 minutes.

Golden-Seared Cod with Herb Butter Sauce

After a long day at the office, there's nothing quite like a comforting, easy-to-make meal that still feels special. This golden-seared cod with a herb butter sauce fits the bill perfectly. With its flawless sear and rich, buttery sauce, this dish transforms simple cod—renowned for its mild flavor and flaky texture—into something truly exquisite. Whether you're hosting a dinner party or simply want to elevate your everyday meals, this recipe is a game-changer. Packed with protein and beneficial omega-3 fatty acids, it's both delightful and fulfilling.

Ingredients:

  • Four 6-ounce fillets of cod
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 minced clove of garlic
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • 2 teaspoons finely chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
  • 1 tablespoon snipped fresh chives

Instructions:

  1. Use paper towels to dry the cod fillets, then season them with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. In a large pan over medium-high heat, bring the olive oil to a shimmering but non-smoking boil.
  3. Gently lay the fish fillets in the pan and sear for about four minutes per side, or until the bottom becomes a golden crisp.
  4. Carefully use a spatula to turn the cod over and continue cooking for an additional three minutes, or until it readily flakes when tested with a fork.
  5. Remove the fish from the pan and place it on a foil-lined platter to keep warm.
  6. In the same skillet, bring to medium-low heat. Cook, stirring occasionally, for about a minute, until the garlic is aromatic and the butter has melted.
  7. Stir in the chives, parsley, dill, and lemon juice after removing the pan from the heat.
  8. Top the heated cod fillets with the herb butter sauce and serve immediately.

Variations and Tips:

  • If you don't like cod, you can use another white fish such as halibut or tilapia.
  • For added flavor, consider incorporating grated lemon zest into the herb butter sauce.
  • Dried herbs can be used in place of fresh ones; however, their flavor is more concentrated, so use them sparingly.
  • While this dish tastes best when eaten right away, it stores well in the fridge or freezer and can be reheated gently in the oven if you have leftovers.
  • To ensure consistent cooking, try to keep the thickness of your fish fillets uniform and avoid overcrowding the pan for a better sear and more flavor.
