Natural Hair Elixir with Clove, Rosemary, Ginger, and Cinnamon
This homemade hair elixir is a popular natural beauty recipe made with clove, rosemary, ginger, and cinnamon. It’s often used in DIY scalp care routines to refresh the scalp, support healthier-looking hair, and add a little extra care to the roots.
These ingredients are commonly chosen because of their strong aroma and traditional use in natural hair routines. While they may help the scalp feel stimulated and refreshed, it’s important to be realistic: this kind of spray is not a guaranteed treatment for fast hair growth, but it can be a simple and enjoyable addition to your hair care routine.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon cloves
- 2 sprigs fresh rosemary (or 1 tablespoon dried rosemary)
- 1 piece of ginger (2–3 cm, sliced)
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 2 cups water
Preparation
- Pour the 2 cups of water into a pot.
- Add the cloves, rosemary, ginger, and cinnamon stick.
- Bring to a boil and let it simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let it cool completely.
- Strain the mixture and pour it into a clean spray bottle.
How to Use
- Spray directly onto the scalp
- Massage gently for 2 to 3 minutes
- Use daily or at least 3 times a week
- No need to rinse
Important
Patch test first before applying widely, especially if you have sensitive skin or scalp irritation. Avoid contact with the eyes. If you have significant hair loss, scalp problems, or ongoing irritation, it’s best to speak with a dermatologist.
